Round Corners of a Rectangle
To round the corners of a rectangle in After Effects, you first want to select your Rounded Rectangle Tool and then draw a shape to your desired size. You can change the rectangle corner radius by going to the new shape in your timeline and adjusting the roundness.
Shape Layer > Contents > Rectangle > Rectangle Path > Roundness.

Using a Mask
You can easily add a mask to an image or video in After Effects by highlighting your media and selecting the Rounded Rectangle Tool in your toolbar. Then, you can draw a shape to create a mask.
Before you release your mouse, you can change the roundness of your mask by pressing the arrow keys or by using the scroll wheel on your mouse.
If you hold the Space Bar while creating your mask, you can change the position of the shape, which can make scaling the mask easier.

Using an Effect
In After Effects, the easiest way to round all corners at once is by going to your Effects and Presets and searching for “Roughen Edges”. Drag and drop the effect onto the media in your timeline, then head over to your Effects Control panel to edit the settings.
Change the Edge Type from Roughen to Cut.
Edge Sharpness to 10.00.
Fractal Influence to 0.00.
Then, adjust the border size to change the corner radius.
